Congratulations to Loretta Potts on being selected as PBN’s Workplace Champion for 2020!

Congratulations to Austin, Tsutsumi & Associates, Inc. (ATA) own Loretta Potts for being recognized as Pacific Business News’ 2020 Workplace Champion for Medium Sized Workplaces!

Loretta Potts started working at ATA in 1979 with over 40 years at ATA! She was nominated because “she runs this office like a well oiled machine. We don’t have to worry about anything because she will take care of it.”

How do you curate a good company culture?

It is not difficult for me to contribute to a company culture that is already successful, thriving, and defined by the best in our people. We focus on servicing clients to the utmost of our capabilities, and we can only do that if our staff know that they are well cared for and appreciated. Taking care of workspace details and making sure that everyone feels supported in the workplace is the least we can do. My heart is with each and every one in the company and my hope is that it is evident in my day-to-day efforts.

What are you doing to prepare for Hawaii’s eventual reopening?

“She always goes above and beyond for our office. She runs this office like a well oiled machine. We don’t have to worry about anything because she will take care of it.”

First, we are crossing our fingers! We have been prepared from May and are able to move fluidly between working from home and office. We will continue to implement healthy workplace practices to keep ourselves well, and are starting a modified WFH schedule, especially for those with young children, elderly or family with health risks. Being a Best Workplace, we love to gather, and how we do it in the future is already being defined by the virtual meetings of today – sharing fun and meaningful time together. That won’t change.

Mahalo to Loretta for all you do in managing our office and HR, we can’t think of anyone that better represents what it means to be a Workplace Champion.
